A new company that specialises in supplying metering solutions for large commercial and domestic projects across the UK asked us to create a new service that they can offer to their customers.
They would like a system that can be integrated with their current Microsoft Access database to automatically produce statements for their customers, who are mostly landlords, to send out to their tennents.
The existing Database collects readings from the tennent's meters automatically but due to the nature of the system, the software cannot be easily modified to include this feature.
As such, we are currently working on a customer database application that is linked to the meter readings database and can automatically calculate and produce monthly or quarterly statements for every tennent according to their energy or services usage as recorded by their meter.
The system is required to keep track of regularly changing prices, such as cheaper electricity prices during the night and allow clients to set up flexible packages for customers according to their average energy usage or multi-site discounts.
